A Damaris Salon(SM) is story-based discussion designed to encourage conversations about women and spirituality. We come to the Salon having read selections from short stories, poetry, and novels by authors such as Alice Walker, Flannery O’Connor, May Sarton and the teachings of Jesus. Salon conversations span the range from Body to Power, Freedom to Social Change.

At The Damaris Project we believe that—in meaningful conversations where everyone is involved and each person is truly heard—people connect with others to spark “revolutions in their living rooms.”
